What Else You Should Know
Our regular office hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5 pm.
In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Pediatric Rheumatology Consultants and they will contact us.
If you have an urgent medical need that cannot wait and need to talk to our providers after our regular hours, you can reach the on-call doctor via MedLink at (512) 323-5465. Your call will be returned promptly. Do not use this service for emergencies.
If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit.
Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Pediatric Rheumatology Consultants are routinely issued during our regular office hours. You can make your request by calling our office at (512) 494-4000 or contact your physician via the online portal.
Refills are generally not issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as our providers may not have access to all your medical records during those times. Please anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
